Artist and Illustrator, Charles Akins, is an award winning Graphic Designer and Illustrator with over twenty years experience creating attention grabbing, yet friendly, art and design for a diverse roster of clients from American Express, The Coca-Cola Company, Hanes, McDonald’s, CheckFree Corporation, Nike, PetCo, Mighty Auto Parts, UPS Stores, Home Depot, Arby’s, Time, Pepsi, Computerworld, Fox Kid’s Magazine, and Scholastic, to MAD magazine and many other agencies, organizations, publishers, and corporations.

Mr. Akins’ work has been widely published and featured in Step-By-Step digital,The Illustration Workbook, Picturebook, and in the Hayden book: “Adobe Illustrator-Creative Techniques,” as well as the recent Quayside published “Logolounge Master Library: 3000 Animal & Mythology Logos.”

A one time Western Carolina University football player, Adams Group Creative Director Dean Bryant traded his play book for a sketch book, earning his degree in Graphic Design from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Since then, he’s been the brain-power behind award-winning work for brand A-listers such as BMW, Porsche, Michelin and BF Goodrich not to mention South Carolina’s largest healthcare system.

Artist: Ryon Edwards

Ryon Edwards is a native South Carolinian and long-time designer and short time cartoonist. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and studied with Milton Glaser at The School of Visual Arts. He started his career in the newspaper industry and joined C.C. Riggs as a designer in 1996. In 2009, Ryon became a partner of Riggs Partners.

Ryon is a seasoned brand strategist, designer, art director, illustrator and lover of all things typographic. He’s been the brains behind award-winning brand identities, advertising, publications, collateral and websites for local, regional and national clients, and about a zillion non-profits.

His work has been published in How magazine, Print magazine, Logolounge, and has a closetful of inShow cubes, and local and regional Addy’s. In his spare time, he’s served his alma mater as an adjunct professor and offered his time to local nonprofit and advertising/design boards.

While he does not enjoy pina coladas, he does like riding his bike to work. But not in the rain.

David West is a Jack-of-All-Arts. On any given day, he may wear that hat of Art Director, Print Designer, Illustrator, Photographer, Copy Writer or Fine Artist. He has worked as a Design and Communications Professional in the corporate, ad agency, and freelance worlds for the past 13 years. He is presently segueing into a career as an Art Teacher and will graduate with his Masters of Arts in Teaching / Art Education from USC in December.

David is often valued for the creative insight and divergent thinking he provides for more than just design problems. He is a quick study at understanding his clients’ business models and has an excellent capacity for helping them craft their message. He is often able to help clients see their own strengths and challenges in a new light and productively apply these insights to new approaches in their marketing.

Jessica Cruser was born here in Columbia, SC and earned both her undergrad. and graduate degrees from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She currently works at Eat More Tees as their Lead Designer, and at the University of South Carolina as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department. Besides living and breathing art and design Jessica Cruser is also the mother to a 1 year old boy named Ryker, who helps with design ideas and the reorganizing of student’s assignments.
